We will comply with the National Privacy Principles ('the NPPs') under the Privacy Act 1988 ('Privacy Act'), in the way we handle personal information. In order to comply with the NPPs and in recognition of your trust in us, AHC Ltd (T/A AHC Pacific in Australia) has implemented a Privacy Policy. AHC Limited., including any related bodies, (i.e. trading as AHC Pacific in Australia) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of any personal information obtained from individuals. For the purposes set out above, AHC Ltd will not disclose your personal information to third party organisations except as detailed below:
- to external service providers to whom AHC Ltd (AHC Pacific) has contracted out functions, such as printers, mailing houses, advertising agencies, but only for the purpose of providing the service AHC Ltd has contracted out.
- to government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law.
- to AHC Ltd's professional and legal advisers.
- to AHC Ltd related companies (AHC Pacific currently).
Data quality and security
AHC Ltd will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal information held is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, the accuracy of that information depends to a large extent on the information you provide. We would recommend that, on a regular basis you:
- will let us know if there are any errors in your personal information, which we currently hold.
- will keep us up-to-date with changes to your personal information.
AHC Ltd will take reasonable measures to to ensure that the personal information supplied to us is held securely protected from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or unapproved disclosure.
How to access your personal information
Individuals will be able to access their personal information by contacting the AHC Pacific office. Upon request AHC Ltd will provide you with access to your personal information, subject to exceptions stated in the Privacy Act.
AHC Ltd will not usually charge a fee for searching and providing access to personal information for updating purposes. However, we do reserve the right to make a reasonable charge. If you would like access to your information, would you please forward your request in writing.
